"Eventful Year" says Chairman ...

In his latest Chairman's Message, Richard Longmore reported that the past year had been an eventful one for the Lilydale Athenaeum Theatre.

"The development of the Museum of Lilydale has caused a number of alterations to be made to the building", he said.

"We anticipate that the new toilet block will be open before Christmas and the existing temporary facilities will be demolished as a result. Nobody is holding their breath as this work seems to have been going on forever."

Mr Longmore also reported that the under stage storage generously provided by the Shire had been used to good effect, and that it was hoped to have some extensive auditorium seat repairs finished by the beginning of the next production.
