2015 VDL Awards

At the 2015 Victoria Drama League Awards Night the Lilydale ATC scored one Silver and one Gold Award. This year the production submitted for the Awards was Secret Bridesmaids' Business.

The Gold Award went to Eleni Miller as Best Actress in a minor rolefor her portrayal of Naomi Bartlett.

Merinda Backway received a VDL Silver Award for Best Set Design in a Comedy or Drama. In addition to Secret Bridesmaids' Business, Merinda has designed several other sets for the ATC - including Daddy's Dying Who's Got the Will, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Are You Being Served, M*A*S*H and The 39 Steps.

Apart from Eleni and Merinda there were eight other Award nominations for Secret Bridesmaid's Business. These were:

• Best Lighting in a Comedy or Drama - Robin le Blond

• Best Costume Design in a Comedy or Drama - Sylvia Carr and Margaret Bayley

• Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy - Candice Sweetman

• Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy - Angela Glennie

• Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy - Andy Fry

• Best Actress in a Comedy - Rhiannon Leach

• Best Director of a Comedy Production - Catherine Carr

• Best Comedy Production
