Gold for Proof

At the Victorian Drama League Awards Night on 6 December 2009, the Lilydale ATC received seven nominations for its 2009 entry.

'Proof' by David Auburn, directed by Catherine Carr, received the following. nominations:

• Best Drama Production

• Best Director of a Drama Production: Catherine Carr

• Best Set Design in Comedy or Drama: Graham McGuffie

• Best Actress in a Drama: Rhiannon Leach as 'Catherine'

• Best Actor in a Drama: Kieran Tracey as 'Hal'

• Best Supporting Actress in a Drama: Kellie Tweeddale as 'Claire'

• Best Supporting Actor in a Drama: Neil McColl as 'Robert'

The judges' decisions resulted in Kieran Tracey receiving the Gold Award for Best Actor in a Drama. Kieran played the role of 'Hal'.
